Neutering

Neutering is the procedure where an animal is sterilised and termed castration in the male animal and spay in the female.

If you are not going to breed from your pet there are many health advantages to neutering and can avoid unwanted roaming, behavioural changes when in season and obviously unwanted pregnancies.

We now offer keyhole spays for the bitch as well as conventional spays Please follow link for further information. This minimally invasive technique is less traumatic, less painful allowing quicker recovery times and reducing the risk of post-operative complications. Keyhole surgery can also be used to remove retained testicles (cryptorchid) in the dog.
